Due to the abundance of sunlight and ease of installation and maintenance solar power was chosen as the power supply. We then produced a design for a solar power system which has been verified by several renewable energy professionals. We have been in contact with various solar power companies in Cambodia who are able to supply us with the required components. The lowest quotation we have been given is for 10 000 which would supply all the components required including PV cells. This sum is therefore the amount we are aiming to raise. In addition to a power supply we will be implement a water treatment and solar water heating system. About 5 members of the team will be looking to travel to Cambodia at the end of July for two months.
